Meet Ena (she/they): a creative hair stylist and costylist at Open Hair Space who believes hair is one of the most exciting ways to express individuality. With a passion for creative hair color, vivid hair, hair cutting, short hair, curls, perms, razor work, and unique hair design, Ena loves helping clients turn their hair dreams into something tangible…and a little more whimsical.

Ena has been making hair magic long before they knew it could become a career. Their creative journey began in 2023 when they earned their nail license and discovered a deep love for the artistry, creativity, and connection that make the beauty industry so special. That experience inspired Ena to return to school, where they continued expanding their skills and graduated from cosmetology school in 2026.

Hair has always been a creative outlet for Ena. Long before stepping behind the salon chair, they experimented with different looks on dolls, family members, friends, and themselves. Today, that same curiosity and imagination fuels their work as a professional hair stylist, where they get to create personalized looks that reflect each client’s personality and sense of style.  Ena chose Open Hair Space  to work in an environment that would challenge them to grow. They are passionate about education and intentionally seek opportunities to develop new skills, learn from other professionals, and continue evolving their craft.

Ena is passionate about creating hair that feels uniquely personal. They love the artistry of hair cutting and design, from detailed short haircuts and barbering-inspired work to creative shapes, razor work, and personalized styling. They are equally drawn to the world of hair color, especially vivid and creative coloring that gives clients the opportunity to embrace bold self-expression.

Connection is at the heart of Ena’s approach behind the chair. As a stylist and costylist, they are fueled by connecting with people and creating an environment where clients feel genuinely welcomed and understood. Empathetic communication, respect, dedication, and continued education are some of the values that guide their work.

Ena believes that respect is essential throughout the entire salon experience, from client to stylist and stylist to stylist. They strive to create a space where everyone can communicate openly, share ideas, and feel comfortable being themselves.

Collaboration is equally important to Ena. They love being surrounded by other creatives and believe some of the best ideas come from bouncing concepts off one another. Learning how different stylists approach techniques, services, and creative challenges allows Ena to continually expand their perspective and develop as a professional hairstylist.

Ena’s creativity doesn’t stop when they leave the salon. Outside of work, they fill their time with anything music-related, endless creative projects (pleeeeeease ask Ena about her jewelry making!), and community events.  Getting into nature is another important source of inspiration for Ena, and they enjoy spending time outdoors and exploring their community through that lens, too! Of course, they are just as happy clearing their schedule for a relaxed night at home with friends, the most important of which are their two cats.

That balance between adventure, creativity, community, and quiet time is reflected from Ena’s world directly into her approach to hair. They see creativity as something that can be bold and expressive, but also personal, comfortable, and deeply connected to who someone is fuels their practice as a stylist.
